From the moment I arrived at Elephants' Home & Nature for my first visit more than 10 years ago, I knew this would be more than just an activity; it would be an experience I’d carry with me for the rest of my life. 

And the friendship I’ve built with Tong is cherished and will never be broken.

I’ve visited multiple times since, and each visit somehow feels even more special than the

last. 

There’s something incredibly grounding about being in the presence of these gentle, intelligent animals. You don’t just “see” the elephants, you connect and engage with them.

What stood out to me immediately was how loved and well cared for the elephants are.

You can feel it in their calm energy, their playful personalities, and the way they interact so naturally with both their caretakers and visitors. There’s no pressure, no force; just respect, patience, and genuine care.

Feeding them by hand, walking alongside them, and spending time in their environment is something I can only describe as humbling. At one point, an elephant gently reached out with her trunk and hugged my arm. It wasn’t just a moment; it was a feeling… a connection that’s hard to put into words.

The experience of bathing them in the river was unforgettable. Watching them relax, play, and truly enjoy themselves made me realize how important this place is. It’s not entertainment, it’s shared joy.

What makes this place even more meaningful is the education. You leave not only with incredible memories but with a deeper appreciation and respect for these animals and their journey.

Every time I leave, I feel calmer, more present, and honestly… a little changed. Every time I return, the elephants remember me and treat me like a visiting family member.
