Our visit to Elephant's Home and Nature in Kanchanaburi was one of the highlights of our trip to Thailand.

From the moment we arrived, the guides were outstanding, and the way the mahouts interacted with the elephants was truly amazing and the connection they have with Nook and DukDik ( the two elephants we met on our visit) is something you need to see to believe. 

The team were friendly, knowledgeable, passionate about the elephants, and made everyone feel welcome. They took the time to explain the background of each elephant, the sanctuary's mission, and the important work being done to provide these animals with a safe and caring environment.

What impressed us most was how happy and content these elephants were.  It was clear that their welfare comes first. Seeing the elephants roaming, feeding, bathing, and interacting naturally was incredibly special.

The experience itself was thoughtfully organised and gave us a meaningful opportunity to learn about elephant conservation while still creating unforgettable memories. It never felt commercialised. Instead, it felt authentic, respectful, and focused on the elephants.

The team was also fantastic with our children and the day spent at Elephants Home and Nature is one they talk about all the time and have such special memories of that day.   The guides were kind, patient, engaging, and made sure the kids felt included throughout the day. They answered endless questions without hesitation and created an experience that our family will remember.  We will definitely be back next time we are in Thailand, we have also recommended many of our friends to visit as it is an amazing and such an authentic way to spend time with animals and nature and support the great work that is continuing to care for these beautiful animals.   

We left with a greater appreciation for these amazing animals and the work being done to protect them. We highly recommend Elephant's Home and Nature to anyone visiting Kanchanaburi. It is an ethical, educational, and truly memorable experience that exceeded all our expectations.  I have included some pictures of our visit to show how magical these animals truly are.
